He isnt sure whats wrong with it he had a major temp swing it dropped 8 degrees Celsius and then rose 8 degrees Celsius in 6 hours it killed his clown goby and lost a few corals params seem to be checking out fine he hasnt tested alk yet tho

Wow....that will do it for sure. good thing you are taking care of the corals, hope you all find out what the issue is so he can get it taken care of.

Yea he is thinking about starting his tank again if he cant find the problem sucks but oh well one coral of his im having troubles with is the pagoda cup coral I havent seen any extention of polyps at all

All good if it makes it then all good of it doesnt then not sure haha im really worried that my lights may have been left on or off for 3 days as iv been on a holiday and had the in laws looking after my tank

If you think about it, in the wild there may be times when in nature the ocean may not receive all the light it needs and all goes fine. Plus many who may have to deal with cyano will turn their lights off for a few days to get rid of it. You should be fine.

Well I got home yesterday and everything seems to be okay got the coral shipment arriving today so hope all that goes well. Do you light acclimate your corals?

I haven't no, but it may be a good idea. So far I have been lucky and not lost anything. My current light is higher intensity than my old light I was using on my 10g but I got it set at 25% power so it is working well. Have you light acclimated your others before?

Na i havent light acclimated before I was just curious tho other wise my lights would be changing every few weeks

All corals seem to be doing well so far thinking about gluing some frags to my glass not sure how id go about getting them off if they encrusted

I haven't glued any to the glass before for that reason lol. If I wanted them off I would be afraid of killing them. What kind were you wanting to put on the glass?
