Haven't had any issue with the Black Ocellaris I have so far. Strolls all over the tank all day and then at night, digs him a little hole and goes to sleep lol. I do have 2 Yellow and Black Chromis and they are great. Very active and eat like pigs lol. Have you checked them out yet? Those chromis are very cool. I've had many issues with Occellaris clowns, but once I move mine to the 55, their behavior changes so much. I would never keep them in less then a 30 again. Definitely seems the more room the ocellaris have the better. I was worried when I had mine in the 10g and thankfully he wasn't in there long. I really think is has to do with territory they claim. When there is more room they become more sociable rather than aggressive.

Really! I thought you were running a filter also lol. Well if that is the case I will look for a larger skimmer and go that route then. Do the HOB skimmers tend to be quiet? The HOB filters I have right now are loud....even when the water line is almost at the top. My reef octopus is almost silent. At the beginning I thought it was a little loud, but it has died down a ton! Of course, I plan on adding the reactors, so the filter wouldn't be a problem anyway. Nice! Looks like that is the way I will go then. I really wanted to turn my 10g into a sump and go that route but the stand will not hold it the way it is designed. Also thought about a canister but heard more bad then good with them on a reef tank. Have to admit though, the canister on my FW tank has done miracles for it.

Adding a sump would be huge for the tank. Any tank really. The skimmers are 1000% more efficient. Reactors are easier to run. It's just a better system. I just can risk the overflow on the second floor. Since the glass is tempered, wouldn't want to risk damage to our guest room.

Don't blame you there. I could actually set the sump on the floor behind the tank but same worries. Not on second floor but hard wood floors and afraid to take a chance. Plus tank tempered as well and not sure on hang on overflows.

Wood floor is better then carpet! Especially in Florida, where Mold and Meldew are huge issues.

From what I've read, pink zippers are relatively fast growers. Hmm... Maybe it's time to start fragging

In other news, corals are set to arrive today or tomorrow. Hopefully today, because it's hot, humid, and rainy this time of year.
