Guess what, I was digging around in my aquarium stuff today and found a protein skimmer I had originally got for my 10g nano. Never used it as it was too big and wouldn't fit in the tank. Now, it is a very cheap one but the reviews on it are really good and a lot of people recommend it. Has anyone used this type before and if so how did it work?  |

Must be working. My wife messaged me this morning saying that "thingy" (skimmer) I put on the tank has some "crap" in the top hahaha. now can't wait till I get home to check it out  |

Wow that's pulling better than my eshopps lol I can't believe it! When I woke up this morning and checked it before leaving for work there was more in there and even darker. Think I am gonna keep this for a while lol. |

It's pulling better then my Reef Octopus too.. Haha...gonna take another pic when I get home before I empty it. I still can't believe it is working this good. Am I correct in saying this will also help with algae growth? Since it is pulling the excess gunk from the water. |

Yep skimmers basically pull crap before it turns into nitrates.
